Breitling watches are really astounding. They offer a merging of notoriety and accuracy all enveloped with one slick bundle. This brand is the decision of the expert group who are looking for an instrument for the wrist. Pilots rush to Breitling to get their pilot watch fix. Refreshing my wardrobe post pregnancy

14/01/2019

Bootcut jeans

When you stop and think about it pregnancy can play havoc with your wardrobe and personal sense of style. Before I had my most recent baby I'd got to a position where I felt really comfortable in the clothes that I chose to wear.  I felt that I had a good range of things in my wardrobe that fit my body shape and size well, whilst also suiting me and giving me an individual sense of style. They were items that I'd picked up in all sorts of places over the years - both new and secondhand. Then I got pregnant and suddenly everything ended up going into storage and I instead invested in what ... read more

How To Cut The Cost Of Kid’s Clothes In Half

06/11/2018

New parents are always surprised at just how much money they end up spending on clothes for the kids. They seem to have a natural talent for ruining clothes, it seems like as soon as you buy them something new, it’s covered in mud or ripped in 5 minutes. They also grow out of them before your eyes and you’re constantly having to buy new stuff. That can get pretty expensive and when you’re trying to budget for a family, it’s a bit of an issue. Luckily, there are some simple ways that you can save money on kids clothes. Hand Me Downs The kids are probably going to complain about this ... read more

My dress wishlist – my virtual shopping frenzy revealed

Chi Chi London Bardot Dip Hem Dress

The hot weather just keeps on coming wasn't it. There we all were complaining about snow and ice going on for ever, yet now the complete opposite seems to be true. Comparisons are being made with the heatwave of 1976 and you can see why. Yes, we're blessed with things like air conditioned cars and shops, as well as being able to inexpensively buy fans to help keep us cool at home, but trying to dress for the weather can still be a tricky one. It's a few years ago now when I suddenly took the plunge into dress wearing after years of just being a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. Inspired by a ... read more

Flashback to my sixth form ball

24/04/2018

I've now realised that moving house is a time when you end up reminiscing. A lot! There are boxes and boxes of things that came out of the loft at my old house, that I haven't seen for years, that I'm now losing hours going through photos, school year books and other mementoes of the past. I've never been that good at getting rid of things, and it's at times like this when I'm incredibly glad that I am the way I am. Not only have my kids had a good laugh looking at photographs of me at school, but I'm also reminded of some of the amazing things that I did when younger. There are pictures ... read more

Embracing autumn evenings hygge style with Hunkemoller

30/10/2017

Hunkemoller pyjamas

I love autumn evenings. I think that by the time they come around I'm ready to snuggle down and get all cosy in an evening with a spot of crochet, a good book or watching something on TV. I guess it may all link into the Danish concept of Hygge that I am rather in love with.  A while back I read a book all about A Year of Living Danishly and I found learning all about the country and the way people live there utterly fascinating, but the bit that stood out for me most was this idea of hunkering down in the autumn and winter and just staying at home with family and friends. It's a concept ... read more

My predictions for hair trends in Autumn/Winter 2017 #AWBeautyTrends

05/10/2017

acid hair

There's no doubt that autumn is now well and truly here. The temperature has dropped and I've certainly felt that I've needed a scarf and gloves when I've been outside. A ten minute wait at a bus stop the other night even had me wishing for a woolly hat to keep my head warm. To me autumn is that time of year stop and focus on myself for a little bit. On my own health and well being. We all spend ages getting our bodies "summer-ready" but I think it's all too easy to sort of forget about all that as summer starts to go into Autumn So maybe we should all stop and take stock for a bit. When ... read more

Having the confidence to wear a dress everyday

06/03/2017

JD Williams dress

I found myself in Islington the other evening, meeting a friend for dinner before we both went to a gig thingy together. Between the restaurant and the venue we walked past a shop that had some dresses in the window and it somehow sparked a conversation about how sometimes you need to not be scared to wear a dress. I will happily throw on jeans and a t-shirt in a morning, or even a top and certain skirts, but wearing a dress seems to take things to an extra level strangely. What is it about having your outfit in one piece that somehow makes you feel slightly scared of what people will ... read more

A year long Hotter Shoes review

Hotter Shoes Review Dalton

On Monday morning I had three different people stop me on the school run to ask where my shoes were from. If that doesn't give you a spring in your step after half an hour of trying to get two children out of the house with school uniform, book bag, reading books etc all correct then nothing will! So what were these amazing shoes attracting everyone's attention you may ask? The latest Hotter shoes in my collection - these gorgeous Dalton shoes in Flint. It's nearly two years now since I first discovered Hotter Shoes when I did a review for them of a pair of gorgeous Gaby Wedges. ... read more

Inspired by Knickers Models Own

28/01/2015

If you follow me on Facebook (click here if you aren't and don't want to miss out!) then you'll probably have seen me sharing posts by the wonderful Knickers Model's Own. In memory of her late mother, Caroline is challenging herself to wear a new outfit a day based only on things she can buy in a Cancer Research UK shop. She's doing amazingly well and has also attracted a lot of media attention in doing so. Inspired by her I've been shopping myself in the charity shops of St Albans... ... read more
