Mom life is definitely the toughest life to lead. You’ll have dealt with a mixture of emotions, learnt a range of new skills that you probably didn’t have before, and feel as though you’re ready to take on the world. Which you are. When you finally do feel ready to move back into the world of work, there are some careers that we think you will be suited to more than others. Mom life prepares you for many things, and despite what you may think, the world of work is definitely one of them. If you’re worried about what career might suit you as well as your mom life, then have a read on, and see if any of these perfect carers will be the one for you!
Nursing
Nursing is definitely something that you’ll be prepared for. It’s such a rewarding career, and you will have picked up so many skills during your time as a mom that will prepare you for it. You will have learnt compassion and caring skills, perseverance, and how to deal with difficult situations. We know that it means you’ll have to go back to education, but the rewards you’ll get out of it will be so worth it. You could even then work towards doing a msn leadership program, which would give you a master degree and set you up for even more possibilities within the nursing world. Don’t panic either, plenty of moms go back into education to do nursing, and when you qualify you could even go part time if you want to try and keep some of the precious time that you were used to spending with your family. Even as a part time nurse you can earn plenty of money! Just make sure you’re prepared to put in the effort during your training. It can get hard along the way, but you’ll have such a rewarding career at the end of it.
Teaching
Teaching is again, something that you would have to go back into education to be able to do. But you will be happy to know that it is not as hard as nursing to complete, but it does have just as many rewards. You’re helping students reach their full potential, and getting the most out of life. If you would find high school teaching intimidating, there’s nothing to worry about. There’s so many routes that you could go down when it comes to education, you just need to make sure that you’re picking the right one for you! Teachers pay is really good, and the hours are more structured than nursing would be.
Baby Sitting
Now one that doesn’t require you to go back to education. Babysitting is easy to do, and you’re obviously going to be prepared for what it would entail due to having your own children! All you need to do is make sure you become a registered babysitting, and find ways that you can get your name out there so that people contact you for your services. Social media is the best way of doing it, as absolutely everyone is on there at the minute!
