Nothing reminds of ‘Christmas is round the corner’ more beautifully than the presence of Poinsettias. This tropical plant chooses to bloom at that point of time. With the festivities arriving, Poinsettia is the perfect addition you need to have in your indoor and outdoor landscaping design. The plants come in different shades and colours and not only just the 'red and white' also known as 'Santa suits'. There are many varieties of Poinsettias for you to choose from. Saving money on day to day grocery essentials
When you're trying to save money at home it can seem relatively easy to save on some of the bigger expenses. Things like shopping around for insurance deals, switching your utility supplier, waiting until the sales to buy a new fridge or washing machine. That kind of thing. But, when it comes to the things that we buy week in week out it can be much harder, especially if you're time poor. Not all of us have the time to wander around the supermarket looking for special offers or are able to time our trip so that it coincides with when staff members mark down the reductions on things that ... read more
Paddington 2 Marmalade Challenge #Paddington2DVD
One of my best moments of 2017 had to be seeing Paddington 2 at the cinema. I absolutely loved that film and it wasn't only the kids that were desperate to go and see it again. I am therefore absolutely thrilled that Paddington 2 is out on DVD today (12 March 2018) and to celebrate I've been asked to take part in the Paddington 2 Marmalade Challenge. "What is that?" I hear you ask. Well, we all know that Paddington loves marmalade sandwiches - and rightly so as they are absolutely delicious - and I've been challenged to come up with my very own marmalade sandwiches design. Now, the brief ... read more
The Hidden Benefits of Playing Games Online
Playing video games wouldn't be considered one of the most educating past-times to be taking part in, but it's still something that shouldn't be overlooked. Video games have the ability to teach people in many different ways, you've just got to give them a chance in most instances. Some people are so firm on the fact that video games have nothing to offer the growing mind, but that isn't true at all. As a matter of fact, video games could even help improve the cognitive functions of senior citizens – when they're constantly problem-solving and keeping their mind/fingers nimble, it's bound to ... read more

David Williams The Boy In The Dress Jigsaw Puzzle – Review and Giveaway
As I sit here writing this blog post now St Albans is bathed in sunlight and there is a very, very light sprinkling of overnight snow on the ground. More snow is forecast for later on today, but as a northerner I'm not totally convinced that this isn't just the media getting their knickers in a twist about something and actually it's the kind of weather that all Southerners go to pot about, but Northerners just put on their big coat and get on as usual. The one thing that people do seem to be worried about (or looking forward to, depending on whether you're a child or an adult) is the ... read more
Off to the races
When I was a child horse racing was one of those things that I seem to recall always being on the telly, but yet I don't recall watching it. The same goes for wrestling. I was watching Back in Time for Tea the other day and they were showing clips of the old World of Sport featuring people like Big Daddy. I instantly recognised him and knew who he was, but knew nothing about wrestling as a whole and no recollection of watching the programme. The same goes for horse racing. I knew who John McCririck was, but don't think I ever watched racing. The first time I ever felt a desire to go to ... read more
