How To Remove Stains From Household Items

04/04/2022

No matter how beautiful your home is, if there are stains on your household items, the beauty will sort of diminishing. However, to curb this, you can use laundry detergents and other cleaning items to remove tough stains from your household items.

If you are one of those with major or subtle stains in your home, this post is for you. Below are some ways you can remove stains from various household items. They are:

– How to remove wall-stains

Walls usually receive various difficult-to-remove stains such as fingerprints, crayons, and many others. You can easily remove general wall dirt/stain by using a dry sponge; it would not be necessary to apply cleaners or get the sponge wet.

Challenging stains line scuff marks can be removed with baking soda paste and water. You can leave the paste on the affected spot for some minutes, then wipe it off with a damp cloth. It would be best if you didn’t rub it too hard since you might leave scratches on the paint.

You should avoid using cleaners containing alcohol; they can break down the wall paint. Good wall cleaners usually contain vinegar and water.

– How to remove carpet stains

Carpets are often prey to spills and other forms of stains. Therefore, when you want to remove a carpet stain, you mustn’t scrub the stain. It would be best if you did not rub the stain since it would further disperse it and might ruin your carpet fibers, resulting in a permanent stain.

You can easily remove carpet stains like ink, soda, and alcohol with a combination of vinegar and water. Moreover, if you live in a county like Utah, you can seek the assistance of professionals to clean the stains off.

Nevertheless, first, you should try the tip stated above. Then, you can reach out to a company specializing in carpet cleaning in Utah County, if the stain persists

– How to remove countertops stains

Your kitchen countertops usually take stains from various drinks and food after every use, but you can easily clean these stains. For granite kitchen countertops, you might not have an issue, however, if you own a light-colored laminate kitchen countertop, you can’t avoid stains.

A simple method to remove stains from your kitchen countertops is to coat the stain in a water paste and baking soda. It would be best to place a wet paper towel over the paste and then allow it to sit for some hours.

If you own a white kitchen countertop, you can use a bleach-based spray to remove dense color stains like those from food coloring or fruit juice. It should be allowed to sit for a while, and then you can wipe it away.

– How to remove bathroom stains

The bathroom is the place where every homeowner comes to get clean. Therefore it is meant to be clean and tidy. However, the bathroom usually collects a lot of pesky stains from brushing remnants in the sink and dirt residue in the bathtub.

If you own a porcelain bathtub, you can use abrasive powders mixed with little water. However, it would be best if you did not use abrasive powders in acrylic bathtubs. Instead, use a natural bathtub cleaner, a mixture of hot water, and washing detergent.

That’s A Wrap

The sooner you remove pesky stains from your household items, the better your chances of removing them completely. Therefore, you should not wait for a long time to clean off any stains from your household items, or it might become difficult to do so.
