21/07/2021

Have you ever come across a picture of the bathtub adorned with rose petals, candles, and other beautiful products? We are sure you must have.

You might have wondered how lucky those people are who get to experience this kind of luxurious bath. But do you know that you can also get one? Of course, you can have a captivating and calming bathing session and that too at the leisure of your home.

Confused?

Don’t worry! We are here to clear the clouds of confusion for you.

First things first, why do you want such a kind of bath?

The answer is – to say bye-bye to all the worries and to have the feeling of peace and tranquillity. To elaborate more, bathing helps in releasing toxins from your body. And when you indulge in a relaxing bath session, it aids your physical and mental well-being. That is why it has become a milestone in the self-care movement. In short, it is one of the best ways to pamper yourself.

Till now, you have made up your mind for this calming session. But is making up the things in mind will do the needful? You will have to do something about it. And that is where this article will provide you with all the details. So, are you ready for a perfect water retreat? If your answer is yes, then without further ado, delve deep into this article and experience the tranquillity at home.

Gather all the essentials – The essentials include everything you can gather to make this bathing a heavenly experience. Ranging from lovely bath soaps to your favorite book/magazine to some candles, gather whatever you need to calm yourself. Now, you are all set for a special pampering session.

Perfect water temperature – To set the environment right, dim the lights around you and ensure that the temperature of the water is accurate. Experts suggest having a warm bath for the utmost relaxation of the body. But at the same time, pay attention to see that the water is not too hot. Otherwise, you could get dizzy. The key here is to make you feel warm, not uncomfortably hot. Generally, the recommended temperature is somewhere between 90 degrees Fahrenheit to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bath salts and bubbles – The bath salts and bubbles put the icing on the cake when it comes to reaching the highest relaxation. You can put Epsom salt in the bathtub. Adding it helps you with treating sore muscles. It also makes the bath softer and soothing.

Now comes the bubble bath. You can get a bubble bath formula from any cosmetic store. Just put it under the running water when filling the tub. Make the bath as bubbly as you would like.

Let’s add more to your knowledge. You can prepare the bubble bath at your home as well. Take a clean bowl, half cup of body soap, 1 tablespoon of honey and vanilla extract, and 1 white egg. Pour these ingredients into the bowl and mix it well. Mix until the egg turns fluffy. Add it to your tub and have a great time unwinding after a tiring day.

Soothing scented oils – It is needless to say that scents hold special importance in creating a relaxing environment. Therefore, don’t steer clear of this step, as adding scents through essential oils or candles just vanishes all your stress. The combination of oils with warm water is the perfect recipe for a spa-like treatment. Some examples are lavender, rose oil, to name a few. Add at least 10 drops of it to spice up the aromatic effect in the bath.

If you have dry skin, do not forget to add the carrier oil with the essential oils. The examples of carrier oils are jojoba, coconut oil, etc. Carrier oil is a kind of oil that is used to dilute the essential oils so that they don’t cause any skin irritation. They help retain the moisture of the skin. In this way, you can make the most out of the fragrance around you.

Turn on some relaxing music – What is the first thing that you notice when you walk into a spa? The answer is – the atmosphere. You will be surprised to know that you can create a similar environment at your home too. The requirements are pretty simple – soothing music and adding calming lights. Play some relaxing tunes. If you are not able to find the tunes, Spotify is the current trend now. It has some amazing relaxing playlists especially meant for this time. Find the positive music that will keep all your stress at bay.

To spice it up more, bring on some color-changing dimmable lights and kickstart this tranquilizing journey.

No doubt that the above ingredients will give you the moments of perfect bath that you have ever experienced. But what next? To know more, keep reading!

Fluffy towel and bathrobe – You have spent some really good time in the bath; you don’t want to ruin it, right? So, after bath, cover yourself with fluffy towels and a bathrobe. They will make you feel warm and comfortable. You can also make a warm towel by keeping it on the radiator when bathing. Additionally, keep your pajamas ready in the bathroom.

Ensure to moisturize after bath – Let us tell you that hot water dehydrates your skin. So, remember to use a good moisturizer after drying yourself. It will replenish your skin. You can use body oils too.

To sum it up all

Let’s face it – people nowadays are juggling their activities. They toil day and night, which can affect their health in the long run. You don’t want that, right? Hence, the easiest way to deal with all kinds of stress is a relaxing bath with all the things as mentioned above. If you can’t find time in the working days, you can do this on weekends. And Dodie Smith can’t be more right when she said –

“Noble deeds and hot baths are the best cures for depression.”

So let’s put it this way – take out some time from your schedule, soak in the water, close your eyes and let yourself delve into the magical and relaxing world.
