One thing I particularly love about blogging is just how diverse the range of things I’m asked to get involved with are. One week can see me writing or talking about everything from parenting issues, to food and drink products, to toy reviews, to children and adult fiction books.
Earlier this week was a perfect example. In-between writing about Paddington Bear I also took part in a Google Hangout on behalf of Philips and BritMums where psychologist Chireal Shallow was answering questions from a group of bloggers about how to inspire your children’s creativity. Will the long summer holidays approaching fast it was perfect timing to get some great suggestions and ideas for encouraging children of all ages to role play and create their own imaginary worlds for playtime.
This was the second hangout that I’ve done with Chireal and she really does have some fantastic answers to what must be common questions. As a mum of four she’s also put it all into practice and can really draw on her own experiences as well as her professional background. It’s definitely worth a watch.
Disclaimer: I received financial compensation for taking part in this hangout. I was however not asked to blog about it, but I’m sharing this video as I genuinely found it so helpful, and I hope others will too.
The G+ hangout was sponsored by Philips Lighting and celebrates the launch of the Spider-Man day and night lights that children can use in their rooms. These lights were designed to inspire your little heroes’ creativity, projecting a world of light around them to make playtime more vivid.
Penny, thanks so much for coming to the hangout. You’re great on these Google HOAs (Hangouts on Air) and I agree, Chireal is so down to earth with her advice.
Thanks Jen!
