Bring on the bricks!

Lego1

About three weeks ago we finally reached a stage in our parenting journey that I've been looking forward to for years – in fact since even before I became pregnant with Little Miss C. Yes we now have a child who likes Lego!

Lego2

I have such fond memories of my sister and I spending hours and hours building Lego towns on her bedroom floor. I can even remember the strange biscuit tin with St Paul's cathederal on that most of our Lego was kept in. For years I have been creating Amazon Lego wishlists and watching eBay auctions of sets which I had as a child. I've picked up any sets that I've seen in charity shops and have been squirelling them away for this day.

Officially LMC is still more of an age where Duplo is more appropriate (and she does love the Duplo sets she has), but if mummy and daddy are prepared to follow the instructions and do the majority of the building (which of course we are!) then LMC is happy to play with it. She's also loving the Lego minifigures and I can see quite a collection of those starting off.

Lego3

Not to be left out Mr C and I also managed to get our hands on a copy of the Lego game Creationary. If you're a Lego fan and haven't discovered this game yet then make sure you get yourself a copy. The main aim of the game is to build objects as depicted on the game cards with the pieces available and the other players have to try to guess what it is you have built. They're challenging, but it's also great fun, especially if you combine it with a few glasses of wine to "assist" the building. The question is can you guess what we were building?

Fabulous. Please don’t ever buy the pink Lego though! 😉
We’ve bought someone Creationary and it’s sitting looking at me on a table. Tempting me. May have to break it open if husband doesn’t post it soon.

We have a small set of friends Lego on the side at the moment – only purchased as Id promised her some Lego for having done something and it was the only on Sainburys had that was in my price range at the time!
