Full days

It's very strange, but only a few days after finishing work I'm already starting to wonder how I ever managed to find time to actually go to work! Somehow I've got to change that before it becomes too simple to just stay at home and not find an alternative income stream.

Bedroom curtains

After several days snowed in at home (not completely, but with deep enough snow outside that going out became a hassle) I've found myself filling my days with lots of little things that I want and need to get done and yet things like the pile of paperwork on my desk remain untouched.

I'm pleased to report that the interlining of the bedroom curtains is complete though, with curtain number two being much more successful than number one. The moral of the story there is to sleep on a design idea before trying it out. You're much more likely to have success that way!

I do at least now feel ready for Christmas though with gifts wrapped and cards written. Even all of the washing has been finished and that's rare here! There was also time for some time-out today when a friend called in for a few hours on his way to stay with his family for Christmas. A simple afternoon sat around the table with tea and homemade cakes whilst discussing cooking and gardening. Middle-aged I know, but actually good fun too!

The Christmas family festivities are also now about to start and I'm sure that they're not going to provide any respite from the general busyness that I've been experiencing. Somehow though doing things around the house and garden with a cup of tea in hand is so much more fun than sitting in an office!
