I remember reading, a very long time ago, probably before you were born, that a higher education establishment wanted Ladybird to republish its book about computers in “adult covers” because it was such an excellent introduction to what was then a very new technology. The publishers declined to do so.
I remember reading that story somewhere. I wonder if I can find it again…
