Our first real Chez C Christmas Tree
As this year's festive season draws to a close things feel a little different to how they have done in previous years. Normally at this time there is the anti-climax of New Year's Eve to get through and then the dreaded return to work in January. This year it's all a little different.
I resigned from my job at the end of September and today is my first day unemployed. A scary prospect for sure. I had planned to have another job lined up for the new year, but things don't also work out as you first plan them. Instead there is a new "job" coming my way in 2010, but not until June. And this is going to be a role that I can't really resign from if it doesn't suit me. Yes, I'm delighted to be able to tell you that the role of Mummy, Mum and Mama will hopefully become mine in early June when there is expected to be a small addition to the C family!
Between now and then how I fill my days and how I bring in contributions to the mortgage are left to be determined a little bit. I'm certain that there's going to be plenty of crafting and general preparation for C Minor's arrival as well as lots of other mundane things that just have to happen. Now that my little secret's out in the open I've no excuses for not blogging more regularly either. I hope you'll stay with me on what promises to be a roller-coaster of a year in Being Mrs C!
How can it be anything other than a good sign that this lovely sign of Spring already sits in my kitchen!
