Why Booking Private Tours is a Great Way to See the World

13/11/2025

Whether you are a busy parent or professional, a seasoned world traveller, or merely disinterested in planning the logistics of tours while travelling, you have options to see the world through private tours in most destinations. If you are curious about why private tours might be right for you, continue reading.

Tours Give You Access

If you are travelling to a destination, such as Malta, where certain must-see attractions or locations have entry limitations or timed access requirements, it may become nearly impossible to see the sights on your itinerary. Discover the Blue Lagoon Malta in style, for example, by booking a private boat tour. When you take advantage of this option, you will experience everything you want from the comfort and privacy of your own guided tour boat. In addition, you will avoid the throngs of people still waiting for access because they did not book a tour.

In other parts of the world, booking private tours helps with crowd control and brings in revenue. Taking a trip to Italy almost requires you to spend some time at the Vatican. While you can walk around the outside, visit St. Peter’s Square and the Basilica for free, you will need to purchase a ticket to enter the other areas. A further payment for a guided tour will give you access to places that most people will not see, along with the expertise of your knowledgeable guide.

All-Inclusive is Ideal for Personalised Trips

Booking tours does not only apply to sightseeing on holiday. The entire getaway can be all-inclusive and privately curated just for you. Look for resorts or special holiday packages offering everything you want to create a wonderful experience.

From private side tours to cooking classes in a nearby villa or bike tours through wine country to local history tours, you can find everything you are looking for. Consider booking a tour that includes your hotel accommodations, transportation throughout the duration of your travels, and all of your meals. This type of travel will likely be more expensive than if you had planned it on your own, but it will also be considerably easier on you since someone else handles the logistics and manages the trip.

Package Holidays Provide Necessary Support

If you have ever been on holiday and had your passport or wallet stolen or gotten into an unfortunate accident, then you know how stressful and frustrating trying to navigate through the red tape and local laws can be. When you opt to go on a private and inclusive tour, you have an insurance policy in place to help you through the difficult moments.

Not only will your private tour operator usually provide an insurance plan for your entire itinerary from start to finish, but they will also become a resource in an emergency and help you work out the logistics to get you home safely. Of course, you should always read the fine print on your contract to ensure you receive the coverage you are looking for before booking a tour.

Life is busy. Make yours easier while still experiencing the joy of travel by booking private tours as a great way to see the world. When you let someone else take the reins and plan for you, you get to sit back and enjoy the view.
