Amazing Plus-Size Fashion Tips – Size Doesn’t Matter

21/09/2020

If you have been a target of body-shaming and bullying and even hurled abuses at, it’s the time to face up and defend yourselves. You should get it straight that your size is completely your matter and should not be a topic of discussion for the people around you. Never lose confidence and be comfortable in your skin, as a pro-fashionista should. And if you wish to look your best irrespective of your size, take note of the following fashion tips.

Follow comfort and not the trend

For the curvaceous women, it’s necessary to feel comfortable and at ease in whatever attire they choose. So the next time you go shopping, opt for something that makes you feel good in front of the mirror. If you can carry the look off with grace, it will become your style statement, so you shouldn’t just chase after trends.

Observe the fitting

The next thing that you should be paying attention to is fitting. See if the dress feels too tight around your body that it gets difficult to move around. Also, check if the lines of your undergarments are visible over the dress. Even if one of the answers is ‘yes’, chuck that outfit, and opt for something that although is well-fitted, it doesn’t make you uncomfortable.

Pick the right footwear

Most women with curvaceous figures mainly focus on their outfits and ignore footwear. However, you should know that your shoes can make you break your appearance, so choose them wisely. The experts at JustFab suggest not wearing the conventional pointed heels, as the feet take the entire weight of your body. If you continue wearing those pencil heels for long, you may even suffer from joint pains, shortened Achilles Tendons, and ingrown toenails.

But that doesn’t mean you should stop wearing heels altogether. You can always go for platforms, wedge heels, spool heels, French heels, and the likes for both style and comfort. If you prefer flats, you can pick from a range of gorgeous flat sandals, pumps, and boots to go with your attire.

Invest in a quality shapewear

Shapewear is one of the wisest investments for curvy women, who love experimenting with their outfits. They help you look fitter in any kind of dress by squeezing the extra flab inside and flaunting that waist size you’re so in love with. And it’s completely okay to try and fit into the norms once in a while, especially if you’re comfortable with the idea. You can always be a rebel at other times.

Select the right accessories

Without the right accessories, all your efforts may go waste, as they are that finishing touch to your look, which is incomplete otherwise. If you’re wearing a dress or a jumpsuit, don’t forget to put on a broad belt to enhance its appearance. Also, carry a large purse, or a medium-sized tote bag proportioned to your body to go out there and create an impression.

Being a curvy woman doesn’t take away your right to look stylish and beautiful. With a proper selection of outfits and accessories, you may even break all conventions and go on to become a fashionista in the truest sense. It’s all about how you see yourself and the confidence you get from your reflection in the mirror. Self-pride is the best way to do away with societal norms and be happy. So just go out there and do your thing. Everyone else will follow suit.
