How are your mornings: bright and filled with fresh energy that’s ready to be transformed into a productive day, or dreadful and filled with back pain and muscle spasms? If the latter is true for you, this can only mean one thing: you need a new mattress!

But if you’re like me, you’d rather sleep on the floor than go through the whole mattress shopping process. Even more, modern beds are so expensive these days! It’s like you have to sell a leg and an arm in order to sleep comfortably – but you won’t be able to do this as, let’s face it, you’re missing limbs!

So how do you solve this conundrum? Well, if you have the right information and access to TryMattress – best mattress guides then shopping for a new bed becomes quite easy and affordable.

#1:  Shop Online

Yes, nowadays you can shop for mattresses online, and the experience is completely liberating! You don’t have to lose days by visiting showrooms and you don’t have to deal with various types of salespeople! This means you don’t have to take time from work to go mattress shopping; you can simply do it in your pajamas, while sipping a cup of tea.

Finally, because they don’t have to pay for showrooms and salespeople, online stores can afford to drop the prices. And many will offer free delivery!

Online is always cheaper in most niches, so if you want to know more about this here are some more tips on how to save money when you shop online.

#2: Don’t Fall for the Fancy Names

Today’s mattress industry is a bit confusing as manufacturers don’t really know what to do to justify the huge prices. So, they use fancy names for materials, textures, and even inner-structure to take the eye of the client. However, if this technique might have worked at a certain point in history, nowadays it’s just frustrating to look at a product without understanding what you’re actually buying.

To avoid paying way too much for a mattress because it just sounds good, I recommend looking for producers who made the process simpler. Companies like Casper, Leesa, or Purple are the first names that come to mind, but there are others with similar practices.

#3: Spring Mattresses are Still Good

If you’re a bit old-fashioned and still want to go through a showroom purchase, I recommend taking a good look at spring models. Salespeople will try to convince you that these designs are out of date, but modern technologies allowed for a lot of improvement.

Even more, the prices are quite affordable and you will be able to get a design with the most modern features at a very good price.

#4: Get a Simple Mattress

If all you want is a mattress that’s comfy and fits your bed, you should go with a universal design. I already mentioned some manufacturers that simplified the shopping process – well, they are also the ones that simplified the mattress. If you buy from them, you just have to choose the size and you’re done!

#5: Pay Attention to the Warranty

It may be a bit more than you’d like, but a mattress with a good warranty will pay for itself in time. Make sure you get a product with a long warranty (at least 10 years) and that the warranty covers the entire mattress. You should also ask to see the conditions under which the warranty will be applied – this will save you a lot of money if the mattress is somehow defective.
