One thing that I love about living here in the UK is the seasons. I just can’t imagine living somewhere where the weather is the same all year round. By the time each new season rolls around I’m ready for it. Looking forward to the change and ready to embrace what comes along next. That’s why winter for me is so special.
After those cosy autumn evenings snuggled up as the weather starts to get colder there’s something I love about the cold snap that signal’s winter’s arrival. As an outdoor lover I love going out with the family in those colder winter days when it’s like the frost has taken away all of autumn’s colour and replaced it with something sparkling and white instead. I love the sound under your feet as you take the first steps of the day on crunchy grass. That tingly feeling in your cheeks as they hit the cold air that surrounds you. Then, when you can’t take the cold any more heading inside for a luxurious hot chocolate or steaming cup of tea next to an open fire as you defrost your fingers and toes.
With hands stuffed deep in pockets or wrapped up in woollen gloves it can be tricky sometimes to remember to capture special winter moments like these, but I think we all need to remember just how important it is to do so. Many of us are so busy living our lives that we don’t capture what we get up to but it is wonderful to have a way of freezing some of these moments in time and revisiting them whenever possible. It only takes seconds to pull your phone out of your pocket and snap away, but the memories can last a life time.
A recent news article told of how today’s children are at risk of not having photo albums of their childhood when they grow up in the same way that we did. Back then all photos were printed out (after a week long wait whilst the local chemist sent them off!) and treasured in albums or frames, but in this technical age we’re more likely to flip through photos on Facebook or our phones than do that. But why stay traditional with your photo memories with a printed photo book from Truprint? Not only can it make a beautiful memory for yourself and your children, but it would also make a magical gift for a family memory or friend.
All you need to do is collate the photographs that you want to include, choose a cover type and design that will show them off best and then add text and optional embellishments to tell the story of your special winter wonderful memories and capture what your family did together.
If a photo book is not your thing then how about re-living seasonal memories throughout the year with a photo calendar instead? Or maybe a permanent reminder on the wall with a canvas print? Possibly even one with a collage of your Winter Wonderful photo memories? Truprint have even created a helpful eBook to show and inspire you as to how to turn those Wonderful Winter Memories from Pictures into Presents.
