My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: May the Best Pet Win DVD Review

04/03/2015

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic May the Best Pet Win

As a child I absolutely loved My Little Pony. There was just something completely magical about them that I adored and it seems Little Miss C is exactly the same.

We were recently sent a copy of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: May the Best Pet Win on DVD to review and since it arrived she has been completely obsessed with it! Not only does she act out most of the stories but as the limited edition version of the DVD that we were sent came with a small My Little Pony figure this has become her favourite toy and Helia goes to bed with her at night and today is once again at school for show and tell!

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic contains 5 episodes:

  • May the Best Pet Win
  • The Mysterious Mare Do Well
  • Sweet and Elite
  • Secret of My Excess
  • Family Appreciation Day

In the headline episode, May the Best Pet Win, Rainbow realises that she is the only one of her friends not to have a pet. She therefore sets up a competition to work out who is the best pet for her. Things don’t go according to plan though and Rainbow realised that the quality of a good pet or friend is not whether they can win a competition, but whether they are there for you when you need them.

My Little Pony still seems to a firm favourite, much as it was when I was a child. I just need to work out how to stop humming the alternative version of the theme song that we all used to sing in the playground all those years ago! It’s a bit of an ear worm.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: May the Best Pet Win is available now on DVD.
