Special Edition Weetabix Strawberry for Comic Relief

04/02/2015

Weetabix Strawberry

It seems to be all about breakfast here on Being Mrs C at the moment as we’re busy trying out this wonderful special edition Weetabix Strawberry this week.

As part of Weetabix’s partnership with Red Nose Day they have launched this special Strawberry Flavour Weetabix with 5p per pack being donated to Comic Relief. And if that wasn’t enough, everyone who tries Weetabix Strawberry also has the chance to win one of many “nosetastic” experiences as part of the Weetabix Red Nose Day promotion. There are nine different experiences that you could win one of and these could be as cool as flying through the air like a superhero with “SuperNose” for an awesome indoor skydive experience.

The prizes aren’t just limited to Weetabix Strawberry though as the Weetabix Red Nose Day “Pick Your Nose” on pack promotion will also be appearing on every pack of Ready Brek, Weetos and Crispy Minis and adults have the opportunity to win an amazing prize for their child. It’s “easy sneezy” to enter (sorry, their joke – not mine!) as all you need to do is go to their website https://pickyournose.weetabix.com, enter your code from the pack, and pick one of the nine Red Noses to enter into the weekly prize draw. There are nine main prizes and 50 runners up prizes to be won every week, so you will be “off your nose” (their joke again!) not to enter!

Weetabix Strawberry

As for the Weetabix Strawberry itself – we were sent a couple of boxes to review and have been tucking into it for breakfast this week. I should be clear up front that this is strawberry flavour Weetabix, so no looking for lungs of freeze dried strawberry in there as I first did when I opened the box. And when you do open the box the strawberry smell hits you and I was instantly transported back to childhood and making strawberry milkshakes in my mum’s kitchen.

If anything the strawberry smell is actually stronger than the taste when you come to eat the Weetabix, but I found it to be really tasty and a nice difference to just plain Weetabx which is what I normally eat. It took a bit of effort to convince Little Miss C to try it, but when she did she too enjoyed it.

Disclaimer: I was sent a couple of boxes of Weetabix Strawberry to review. The Pick Your Nose promotion runs each week from 13/01/015 to 03/04/15. See packs for details.

Special edition 24 packs of Weetabix Strawberry are available in store at Sainsbury’s, Asda, Tesco and Morrisons at £2 for a limited time ahead of Red Nose Day on Friday 13th March. On each pack of Weetabix Strawberry there is also a 50p coupon that you can redeem against your next purchase.
