The Lego Baddies Road Trip

03/02/2014

When I saw that Carcraft were looking for bloggers and their children to act out an action scene using Lego as part of a competition to win £100 worth of Lego I just knew that we had to enter.

Three year old Little Miss C loves Lego. Completely and utterly. Almost as much as I do and she's forever acting out stories with it and using her imagination to come up with weird and wonderful plots. I should warn you though that she's one that doesn't believe that one brand of toy should be played with in isolation from another, so you can often end up with stories where a Lego man has gone to visit Peppa Pig or one of her Sylvanian Families animals!

When we were sent the Getaway Glider set to use as the basis for our story LMC was instantly convinced that "the baddies start off in the desert, but they want to go on holiday to the seaside and they go to lots of other places on their way". That sounds like an outline plot to me, so here goes with The Lego Baddies Road Trip… Pictures directed by LMC, most words hers, but a few ad libs from me to help keep me sane during the creative process! I know it doesn't sound much like an action scene, but LMC is convinced that because it has baddies in it that makes it an action scene.

The Lego Baddies Road Trip

The baddies start off in the desert, but they decide they don't want to be baddies anymore and they want to go on holiday instead.

LegoCrimeDoesn'tPay

They are not sure where to go on holiday, so first they go to Australia to see DorkySon who moved there last year.

Then they decide to go and see the animals on Safari, but some of the animals got a bit scared when the baddies tried to shoot them.

After seeing the animals they go to Antarctica to see the penguins. They like the penguins, but the baddies think that it's very cold there compared to the desert where they live.

After the South Pole they go to the North Pole and visit Father Christmas. The baddies are very upset when Father Christmas tells them that they have been very naughty baddies and won't be getting any Christmas presents. They are not on Father Christmas' good list.

The baddies travel under the sea, but they don't like the strange man (Neptune) who lives there with his weird weapon. The baddies' horse is really scared by him.

One of the baddies is far from impressed when someone he stops for directions asks if he's there for the Village People tribute act auditions.

The baddies also come to St Albans for their holiday, but they meet lots of Romans who they think are scary and they don't like it here much.

They try going camping, but it rains lots and their horse eats all the flowers around the campsite.

Finally they decide to go to the seaside, as that is my favourite place to go on holiday too, and they put down their guns and stop being baddies and decide to build sandcastles and sunbathe instead.

The End.
