Little Miss C’s interpretation of the Kid’s Capture the Colour Competition

08/10/2013

Little Miss C has always enjoyed having a go at taking photographs with our camera or phone. Nearly a year ago I even published on here some of the photos she took whilst in the doctor’s waiting room. Letting a three year old have free run with a camera is still something slightly scary though, especially when she’s insisting on taking hold of your phone to take a photo of the ducks at the park – especially as she seems to insist on holding the phone out over the water to get a better picture. I was therefore delighted when I heard about the TravelSupermarket.com Kid’s Capture the Colour Competition, especially since the first 100 parents to respond were sent a camera for their little ones to use. We were fortunate enough to be in that first 100 and LMC is so excited about having “her very own” camera.

The competition asked children to capture the colours of red, blue, green, yellow and white and that’s exactly what we did. LMC was also showing a bit of resistance to rules though as the camera is also full of pictures of other colours that she wanted to capture too – brown seeming to be a particular favourite!

But without any more of me rabbiting on, (just remember she’s only three!) here are her colours…

Red

Brick Red

Blue

Blue skies

Green

Green, green grass

Yellow

I am yellow (as an aside you get some funny looks when you let a kid loose with a camera in a camera shop – mainly from the shop staff!)

White

White light

And no one with a digital camera has NOT done a selfie – so here’s Little Miss C’s.
