I've not had time to say much on here lately about what we've been up to in our garden, mainly because ever spare moment has been spent actually doing stuff out there rather than writing about it. There are some big changes happening though, especially in terms of moving things around.
We used Mr C being off work for a few months to kick start some plans that we've had for a while for the lower part of our garden. The shed has been moved, new paths are planned and Mr C's also in the middle of building some new raised beds. If we get that far then there are also plans to incorporate a new nature pond too.
There's plenty of work still to come, but we're hopeful that by next year we'll really be doing uch more when it comes to growing out own. I was delighted therefore to be asked to join a monthly Google Hangout about Gardening for Beginners. Each month a group of us aim to talk about what we're doing in our gardens that month and what jobs we have coming up.
For September join Maggy (Red Ted Art and Life at the Zoo), Marianne (Mari's World) and myself as we discuss ripening tomatoes, growing potatoes in bags, strangely shaped carrots and building new raised beds.
Just as soon as I get them from Mr C's phone I'll also blog all about the changes that we've made so far.
