Well, How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth has certainly raised some questions in our house!
"Mummy, what's a woolly mammoth?"
"Mummy, can we see a woolly mammoth at the zoo please?"
"Why do we need to wash it mummy?"
"How did it get dirty mummy?"
They always say books are good for discussion and this one is no different.
This book is basically exactly what the titles suggests – a step by step guide as to how to wash a wooly mammoth. I was left wondering why you'd want to wash one, but sometimes with children's books you just need to suspend reality a bit.
There are some lovely funny little moments in this guide, although to be honest most of them passed straight over Little Miss C's head. We found that this was a good book to share in the middle of the day though, as it was very much one to look at together and discuss, rather than a more traditional "story book" which we prefer when snuggling up together at bedtime. Although Little Miss C is still rather puzzled about why anyone would eat cake in the bath. She has a lot to learn!

Ah so young, and still yet to learn that cake is of course the perfect accompaniment to a bath! It looks like a lovely read.
Mrs C says
She just seemed all concerned about the cake getting soggy!
