Win a VTech Counting Colours Vacuum Cleaner from Cuthberts Toys

13/03/2012

There's many a joke that can be made about "training" your children to help with the housework. To be honest it's when Little Miss C is capable of making me a cup of tea in a morning that I'll be really impressed!

Joking aside though, little children do love copying what mummy and daddy are doing and they want to help with everything too. If you're parent you'll know that this "help" isn't always as useful as it could be. LMC's efforts to help me sweep up leaves in the garden resulted in the piles of leaves being spread around again with the brush instead! That's where toy versions of things that parents use around the house come in so useful. If they can do the housework just like mummy or daddy without creating more mess then you're on to a real winner.

VTechVacuumCleaner

The VTech Counting Colours Vacuum Cleaner provides your little one with their own vacuum cleaner that they can help hoover with. It makes vacuum noises as well as coming with three plastic balls that it will "hoover up". In the usual VTech way there are both learning and music modes which aim to teach the children some a-b-c and number basics – like counting the balls as the children hoover them up. There are also buttons to press and a twist switch to alternate between the two modes – all sized and shaped for little hands to use.

The Vacuum Cleaner is recommended from children aged 12 months and up, but whilst encouraging them to walk around pushing it the buttons and lights on the front mean that it can also be a play station for children who aren't fully mobile yet.

Until you can get them to do the real cleaning efficiently then the VTech Counting Colours Vacuum Cleaner is the next best thing!
