Garden help

04/10/2009

Look at who came to help me plant the rest of the spring bulbs in the garden this morning.

RobinFence

This particular robin always seems to appear when either Mr C or I are out doing anything in the garden. Today, he sat on the fence for a while watching me dig holes for the bulbs. When I'd finished he even decided to inspect things more closely!

At times he was only a foot away from me and he didn't seem at all bothered that I was there. Luckily I had the camera to hand, but taking good bird photos with a small point and shoot camera isn't exactly easy.

I just wanted to mention an independent garden centre I went to on Thursday in Much Hadham, you would love it. It’s called Hopleys and through October they have a half price sale, I have just put a post on my website about it.

He will be waiting for some worms no doubt!

Interestingly he seemed to ignore the worms and go for other bugs instead. It just amused me so much the way he sat peering down at me inspecting what I had done!

You did well and your photographs are great. Our resident robin flies away at the slightest hint of a camera!
