It's nearly a year since I started writing this blog and up until this last week I think I'd been doing rather well in terms of making a effort to post every few days. Then this last week happened.
After a busy weekend, a marathon 13 hour day in the office on Monday, an overnight trip with work on Tuesday / Wednesday and a further 20 hours over Thursday and today there just hasn't seemed to be much time for anything else – including eating and sleeping on some days!
Sadly it may have to continue for a bit longer. Luckily there is a long weekend to break things up and I promise I will be back with news of the the socks (good news) and a fantastic book that I should soon have finished to be able to share with you.
Mr C and I are off to Shropshire to celebrate a friend's wedding tomorrow, so there may also be some National Trust visiting over the weekend to tell you about.
I just hope you'll come back to hear all about it.

Hello there MrsC
Congrats on the house. Hope there are no snaggings.
Yes, that sort of beehivey thing you show is interesting. It morphs out of the surroundings. Usually I find sculptures in beautiful places a bit of a cheek, as they are never as lovely as their background. But this one fits.
I am having a rummage through your archives. Hope you don’t mind.
Love the soxs. Do you not knit them both at the same time? So the pair gets done?
Best wishes,
jo
