Fabulous!

Fabulous_Blog_Award

Anjie over at pom pom emporium has very kindly presented my with this rather fabulous blog award.

Now I have to admit that I don't normally go in for these blog award things, but I particularly liked this one for two, very shallow reasons: I get to tell you about five things that I'm "addicted" to and that woman in the picture above just looks kinda stylish in a way that I really like at the momet.

So, here are my five, and surprise, surprise they're all things that I blog about!

  1. Baking - I do have to admit to having rather a sweet tooth and these days I really enjoy unwinding in the kitchen whilst coming up with some goodies. If the goodies contain chocolate, then even better.
  2. Books - as anyone who has read this blog for a while know, I do love books. There's nothing like getting lost in a good novel, or gaining inspiration from a craft of cookery book. Whenever I hear that awful statistic of the average number of books in a British household being five I feel like crying as basic maths tells me that there must be hundreds of houses without just to balance out the number I have!
  3. Knitting - It's a bit strange in way to see knitting on this list as it's only a couple of years ago that I leant how to knit, but now I find it incredibly therapeutic. I will warn you a second pair of socks is on its way!
  4. Sewing - work may mean that I don't get to sew as much as I would like, but when I look back at the amount I have done over the years I think it fair to say that there's certainly an addiction there.
  5. Outdoors - now I agree that this may be a bit of a strange thing to have on a list like this, but I do think that I would call my relationship with the outdoors a bit of an addiction. I find that if I don't get time in the fresh air I become incredibly grumpy from feeling all cooped up – surely that's the sign of an addition.
Now the final part of these blog awards is to "pass it on" to some fellow bloggers. This is the part that I always feel a bit nervous about – what if they don't want an award. I'll let the bloggers decide, so please just consider this a list of some of the blogs I enjoy, rather than them being under any obligation to do anything!
