PatonsBaroque

I'm trying to a be a bit imaginative when it comes to Christmas presents this year. My Mother in Law S is also doing the same. I got an e-mail from her the other day to tell me that she was knitting a scarf for my brother in law's girlfriend using Patons Baroque and thought I ought to know in case I fancied making a matching hat.

Mr C and I started our Christmas shopping in Welwyn on Saturday afternoon and I hence picked up a couple of balls of Baroque in the same beautiful sea palate of colours that S is using. Having had a quick look on Ravelry there don't seem to be many people using Baroque yet apart from for making scarfs. One Ravelry member has used it produce this Urchin hat, and from her finished photo it looks pretty good.

I've got a bit of knitting time over the next couple of weeks as Mr C's due to go into hospital. I've booked a few days off work to be able to stay with him whilst he's in hospital, and help and look after him once he's back home. I'm guessing that there'll be quite a bit of sitting around and waiting on my own so probably for the best that I've got something to keep myself busy.
