The Great British Bake Off Range at Debenhams #GBBO

26/10/2016

Who doesn’t love the Great British Bake Off? With the series 7 final tonight, it’s fair to say that this year there’s probably been more publicity than ever, especially about whether or not Channel 4 have been had by spending millions on a tent and Paul Hollywood.

Whatever happens in future years the Bake Off (and Mary Berry in particular) will always be a British tradition as far as I am concerned. Although ironically WI meetings always seem to clash with when it is on live, I do make sure I see each week’s show and make a real point of staying off social media until I get to catch up so I don’t find out who has been sent home.

I know I’m not the only one who loves the programme and therefore I’m delighted to hear that there’s a new range of Great British Bake Off baking products and gifts at Debenhams that will be just perfect in the run up to Christmas. Featuring everything form cake tins to tea pots and even an amazing multi-timer there’s something for every GBBO fan.

GBBO Star Baker Apron Great British Bake Off

I was sent to review a Great British Bake Off Star Baker apron which I wore with pride to make a bath of Gran’s Ginger Biscuits for a WI cake sale last week.

Grans Ginger Biscuits

I’d like to tell you that just wearing that prestigious Star Baker apron lastly improved the quality of my bake, but the truth is it was probably my Gran’s amazing recipe that did that – foolproof every time.

The apron is lovely though – made from cotton in a sort of dusky lilac colour with “Star Baker” across the front – it’s the perfect gift for anyone who thinks they have the baking expertise to take on Mary Berry.

The Great British Bake Off baking and gift range is available online and instore from Debenhams.

Disclaimer: I was sent a GBBO Apron for the purposes of this review. All opinions remain my own.
